Private alpha

A voice and screen companion for your Mac.

Say the wake word and ask Vidi about what is on your screen. It can also act on your Mac through a permission gated agent, and it asks before it does anything that matters.

Runs on your own Mac with your own AI provider account. Built by karoslabs.

What it does

Voice in. Screen aware. Hands when you allow it.

Wake word and voice

Start with the wake word and talk to Vidi, or type. You do not need to open a terminal or wire up an agent.

Understands your screen

With your permission, Vidi reads what is on screen so you can ask about the thing in front of you and get a direct answer.

Acts through a permission gated agent

Vidi can carry out tasks on your Mac. Consequential steps are held behind an explicit approval, so nothing happens without you.

Trust

A Plan and Act trust dial.

You decide how much Vidi may do on its own. In Plan, Vidi proposes the steps and waits. In Act, it runs the approved work and reports what changed. You move the dial, not Vidi.

Memory

Context you can read, correct, and audit.

Vidi keeps what it learns in a version controlled wiki. Because it is plain files under version control, the memory is preserved across sessions and you can inspect every change to it.

Private alpha

Vidi is in private alpha.
